Wine Tasting: Wildlife Merlot

Name:Wildlife
Varietal:Merlot
Region:Swartland
Country:South Africa
Year: 2014
Price: $6.95
Wine Notes: "The wine offers an array of red berries and a soft and mellow palate. The style is elegant with distinctive red berries and well-integrated wood aromas on the nose. The palate is velvety and smooth with an aftertaste that lingers with the juicy flavors of abundant berries."
My Review: This wine had a strong oaky cherry scent to it as well as a sweet chocolate smell. I was not a big fan of the taste of this wine it reminded me of a tire, it had a rubber taste to it, and it had a long finish so the flavor stayed on my palette. I did not try this wine with food.
